Ang, if the little one has problems sleeping without a nightlight you could use one of those batterie touch lights or even a solar light. We used those in the cabin in MN and they worked great.
My youngest finished potty training in an outhouse. He was still two when we made the move, and did great. Children adapt so quickly to their new surroundings. We've lived off grid for almost two years now. It's such a blessing!Peace, Kris Ante
