Where are you keeping your stuff that needs to be kept cold but not frozen? Our garage nearly freezes our milk after a couple of days, esp. with the frigid temps. I keep my flour and rice in our coolers, normally used in the summer. It keeps the mice out, and keeps it fresher than if kept in the basement. Come spring I will have to put that somewhere else.

currently we use rubber maid totes for meats etc and keep them right outside with locking lids. The other stuff we keep in our pantry which is just a tab bit warmer than the outside and we have not run into any issues with regrigeration. this was a good time to move here for the weather with refrigeration etc. not good in some other things. summer will pose new challenges :)

Hi Ang! This winter is something else. Still adjusting. Last winter it was exciting and neat, this time...a bit unnerving. More ice, more cold. Ish! So, I figure I can't move so I might as well jump into it. I am looking for winter things to do outside (not right now LOL). But I found ice skating and cross country skiing to be nearby. Never done either so we will see if I end up like Bambi with all four's spread out.

Oh, I'm tagging you! :-)

God's peace,
Dee

Hello Ang dear. I've just caught up on your news. What a great stove! I'd love to visit and have some tea and bread baked in that stove. Lucky girl!

Ok, I have some choice words for that forecast and sadly ours looks worse for this week. No mice in my cupboards this year, our garage is probably full of little frozen corpses!
I have to say, I loved your sitting area at "the palace" but this one looks really lovely -Love that gateleg table in the middle of the room... I'm still trying to invite myself. Joel even mentioned it this morning. Don't blame you if you need to wait a year. But we promise we won't complain and we'll work hard!
Give your family our love.

oh my.... Par Farm Girl.... Would love a short visit but as far as a stay, I think that is a ways off :) although I love your company!

I wouldn't be able to let you have your own private suite this time :) its much different and a pregnant lady can't give up her bed :)

As far as the white noise makers for kids sleeping, do you have batteries ? :) HA! it is STONE silent here at night, except for Hubby's CPAP machine, a light hum...

We are still getting used to a lot of things here. you might want to wait for our "green off-grid bathroom" to be set up too. That is coming soon! Hopefully before babe is born but maybe not...
