No news yet…

Today is my 38th birthday… I was so hoping to have the baby today but at 7:45 pm I have not had it yet J No signs of it coming either. I have been in and out of labor for about 3 weeks. Without sharing too much TMI, it is real labor and it starts and stops but is making very good progress. The real concern is we are 40 minutes away from the hospital. If my water breaks at home it's going to be a very FAST delivery! Last time I got to the hospital and was dilated to 9 cm and had the baby a very short time later. I never wanted a home birth, especially one we are not planning for.

My OB offered by this Saturday to induce, break water or I could even had a C-section due to the baby size. I am praying about all options. I am not looking for advice though. You can talk to me after you have delivered two close to 11# babies without any drugs whatsoever and broken bursting varicose veins, (btw, I have had 4/5 drug free) then I might consider listening to you for 1 second J or NOT! I have been a super woman 5 times now. I am not sure I am up for it on #6. God and I are discussing it currentlyJ. Yes I am grumpy in case you have not noticed J we want what is best for mom and baby's health and I know for sure God will not let us down. Please keep us in your prayers! I will keep you posted.

The goats have not given birth either… I would be grumpier if they did! J

Bless your heart. I know all of those decisions are hard one and don't envy you having to make them. Hopefully the gentle giant knows how to catch just in case? lol. Think of those sweet pink little cheeks you will get to kiss when it is all over. Blessing over you and your wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

Thanks, dear one, for the bebe update. I can't imagine how frustrating this all is. I would be the last one to give advice, having each of my 4 under different circumstances. Long labor, quick but painful labor, emergency c-section, and labor with lots of meds! I personally liked the meds!
Let us know, and of course you KNOW I am praying for you.

Happy Birthday!!!!

Praying for you and the birth of this newest little one.

Rest in God and he will give you all the right answers

I don't have any advice other than to say I've done all seven so far drug free, but none were as large as yours. But know that I will be praying for you and your birth.

Happy Birthday Ang!
I went into labour with my eldest daughter on the evening of my birthday. Induction was looming and the kids seesaw at the park did the trick! We quite enjoy having our birthdays a day apart and often have joint celebrations.
No advice! Except to quote the words of a song by a NZ Christian artist that I listened to during my first long labour 'Hand it Over'. This is something I have had to learn to do with every birth, casting aside all well meaning advice and my own plans, I never say never now! I would 'never' have an unassisted delivery (I know people who have intentionally) but when the midwife hasn't arrived and the baby is coming out, you don't have much choice! My husband is still proud of the fact that he delivered his own son, how special this was for him and all part of God's plan for our family. I know He has it all covered for you too.
By the way I have to tell you about a friend of mine... she had a 14 pound 3oz baby, what a whopper! By c section of course, the biggest newborn I have ever seen.
With love and lots of prayers for a beautiful birth and a beautiful baby.

Well I just want to let you know that you look about half the size of me with my third... But I do feel your pain to some degree. I was just induced at 13 days over due after saying I would NEVER let them induce.

God Bless you and your family. I'm sure they must be anxious, as well. I have been checking your blog everyday for weeks, now. I can't even imagine what you're going through since I have never had a child. I'm praying for all of you for a safe delivery. Take care.

Belated Happy Birthday!
For what it's worth...
I had a look in the almanac & will bet your babe is here by the end of tomorrow or Thursday.
All the best:-)

A late happy birthday to you!

This isn't advice(!), but I just wanted to say that you should do whatever will be easier and least stressful for you and the baby. As long as you both are healthy at the end of it all, that is all that matters! Try not to put excess pressure on yourself, and I hope everything goes smoothly. xx
