HEY! I'm down on the farm for the week too but no horses - we just dug out a new garden for Gramma with the tractor though. Clearly, no baby out yet but, Caroline, YOU LOOK GREAT! I am so happy to see you up and outside. Thank you so much for posting these photos. Buddy looks like a pro - you guys are gonna have a great summer having cut your teeth on winter time. New baby, new life. I am so happy for you. Wish I was closer, I bring over some meals. Sending my love anywhoo.
I love love love reading your blog and hearing all about your life. Not at all boring for me. Not every day can be up, even the down and the struggles can be inspiring to me to gain strength from the Lord, to pray for you, to see a mom like me learning and loving her family and Saviour, that it isn't all roses, but GOD IS FAITHFUL. When we are weak, then, and only then, is He strong. Praying that your baby is born first. :) I wish I could meet you someday.
This verse just came to my mind today
Isa 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Isa 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Isa 40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
earlier in the chapter He says, "He shall gently lead those who are with young"
What wonderful pictures!!And just look at those horses doing their thing!! That is really neat. I love your house. Looks so cozy. And look at you!! Up and outside on this sunny day!...debbie
So glad you are feeling well enough to be outside enjoying the sunshine. Your house is so beautiful - what a wonderful place to raise your children! Thanks so much for poting these photos and letting us have a glimpse into your life on the farm.
hurry up little baby! I have to say, you look great. I love the pics of your house and farm. I am filing them away in my mind so that when we own our own place, it will look as clean and bright and airy as yours does. I love the effect of white walls with timber trim around the doors and skirting.
What a wondeful blog. Your life is a dream of mine and my husbands. We are moving that way more and more each year. So happy to be following your blog. -http://catherineanne5.blogspot.com/
It looks like you are adapting the fashion side of the amish lifestyle - or at least the men in your life are! No more saying, "Hey, you in the blue shirt, come over here!" They'll all come running. HA!
Love your blog! Thanks for the pics! My family and I are heading to Amish country in PA for a few days of relaxation. Hope your bundle of joy comes soon! Blessings, Laurie
I just wanted to say how naturally beautiful you look in this photo. In fact, I had to do a double take. You look very much like my husband's niece, Jenny, who coincidentally married a young man of Amish decent. And the pictures of your home and property are beautiful. How lucky you are to be the caretakers of such a place. I'm sorry that the last weeks of this pregnancy are getting to you. Hang in there and keep thinking of the beautiful babe to come. I will keep you and yours in my prayers. Blessings.
Great pictures! You look a little refreshed. Must be that good ol' country air. And the header with the laundry hanging out is great. Nothing beats climbing into bed with freshly dried sheets that have been hanging out all day. Mmmmmmmmmmmm
We were your fairly typical homeschool family living on a hobby farm in the rual midwest... But as of October 15, 2008 we changed! Join us on our adventure of purchasing and moving into a 40 acre Amish farm with 9+ outbuildings, a pond and more. All 8 of us! Oh yes, did I tell you we are living "off-grid"...? We have no electricity and all that goes with that... The outhouses too... Come along and start here for the beginning of the journey...
437 QUARTS of food in the basement!!! green beans, peaches, meat, milk, beets, carrots, pickles, milk, venison, jams, chicken, chicken broth, pie fillings, spinach, rhubarb sauce and more!... as of 11-08-09

Great pics! We live on a 40 acre "farm" too, but I don't think our adventures are nearly as exciting as yours! Don't you just love the country. :-)
Just popped by to see how you're going. Slowly but steady you seem to be getting well again. Love the pics. Take care

Are we going amish? The clothes, beard...
I love the idea of off grid...
I've loved reading your blog and learning about your family's new life. I hope you are feeling a bit better.
Once your little one arrives, everyone will be so excited! Don't feel bad - just take care of yourself and stay healthy.
