see the difference

How can you tell if those "FREE RANGED" eggs you are buying really are pastured and free range? True free range eggs have an orangey golden yoke (left). Store bought eggs are more of a yellow transparent yolk (right) see for yourself and taste the difference. Our eggs are also fertile, free range and pastured :)

right egg store bought, left egg our egg

Do some research on free range eggs and cholesterol once :) and insert feed back here

I've done the same comparison for family members and co-workers. They were amazed at the difference, both in look and taste. I share my excess eggs with them for now, just to get them hooked. It's part of my evil plan-then I'll start charging!
Farm eggs have more Vit D, More Vit E, More beta carotene, more omega 3 fatty acids, more Vit A, less saturated fat and less cholesterol than traditional, store bought eggs. Plus the chickens are healthier, happier and live longer lives. It breaks my heart everytime I see a poultry truck running down the interstate, stuffed full of precious chickens. The last time I saw it I pulled ahead of it and stayed there so I didn't have to keep looking at them all peering out at me.

The taste difference is what is most amazing! After eating our farm fresh eggs, we realize a store bought egg has no flavor!

And you should taste the fresh eggnog the free range makes! You would never serve or drink store bought again! Keep up the good work!

Agree, agree! We get our milk & eggs off of an Old Order German Baptist farm (they live like Amish). Just last night, DD#2 was making her awesome chocolate chunk cookies :-) & she made the comment about how much better our farm-fresh eggs are then store-bought. SUCCESS! '-) My job is done. lol

BTW...I've started a Blogger blog: http://marmeespantry.blogspot.com I hope you vist OFTEN!

Blessings from Ohio...

There is no comparison really. I can't wait until our hens are laying eggs.

Our chickens have finally started laying & I still have some storebrought free range eggs. We've also been comparing & ours are so much better looking! - I wonder how truely "free ranged" the other chickens are.
