one of our best investments...

As poor as we have ever been in monetary means (we are always rich in Him and blessed!) one of the best investments in our early married years
was a wonderful bedstead and mattress... King sized... so a child or two can snuggle in the nest as well...
after a hard days work in the fields, hanging laundry on the line and canning, or even for a long winter's nap or after the birth of a precious little one...
we look forward to lined dried Italian cotton sheets, downy pillows and cotton blankets
with vintage linens and pillows to fall upon... suddenly everything just else melts away at the end of the day...

LOVELY. I'm glad I didn't see this last night...after the long, hard day I had I may have been tempted to crawl through my PC screen & into your bed! lol BUT...I have my soft, comfy bed to crawl into, so all was well. '-)

Blessings from Ohio...Kim<><

I love our bed too. So wonderful to crawl in under fresh, line-dried sheets!

Mmmm! I love my bed also!

Not sure what Italian sheets are but I do LOVE my flannels especially in winter. Only thing is they don't last--especially the fitted one. That one seems to wear thin very quickly. Yes, we line-dry this time of year and all summer and use the dryer in the winter.

What a beautiful, almost minimalist bedroom. Almost Shaker, too. Very restful looking. You're such an inspiration to declutter my life. :)

One of our first investments was a bed. The nice thing about it was the fact that my father in law made it in the local furniture factory where he worked. We chose the finish, style...
I would probably not have the finish so dark now, but still love it.
It is a cannonball style....queen size. We can barely fit it into our bedroom in our little farmhouse style place. . Only one place it can go. Good thing I am not one that has to change my furniture around every week.
:P
LOVE your bed!!
Your bed covering looks similar to my daughter's in the dawdi haus we added onto our place last year.
I am very drawn to the white.
Timeless.

It's a beautiful bed! We have a queen sized bed that we love as well. Each night, truly, as I lay my head on my pillow, I thank God for the blessing of a bed. There are so many without a soft bed to sleep in and although we may not be *rich* compared to most...we are *rich* in Him and His blessings toward us. :)

LOVE THAT BED!!! We recently bought a new mattress and foundation. We stayed with queen, as we already had. Suddenly, though, queen size seems small. We should have upgraded to king.
