goat milking time...

Sylvie has been a true friend to us! here is our best milker doing her job...
she can milk a goat in no time flat... And our Jersey girl as well...

we are getting about 1 gallon of goat's milk per day now from our French Alpines... The best soft cheese around these parts! Come to our cheese making class and learn the art of soft and hard cheese making to be made right in your very own kitchen...

I love goats milk! Milking a goat with good orifaces is F.U.N...I look forward to milking twice a day:)

But our Jersey cow is different for us lol! Lucy has SmAlL teats...she may win the world record for small teats (the back quarters).

Anyways! Have a great day - I hope that it is sunnier by you than it is here:)

This isn't really about the goats. We have a jersey and love her and all that comes with her :-) but....I'm wondering about your canning posts. I'm very interested in how you can the milk AND about your pressure canner that cans 14 quarts at a time. If you're willing to share your wisdom please feel free to contact me on my blog. ~Thanks much.

I love the fact that my kiddos enjoy the chores, esp. milking. I'm on my own in a couple weeks, and need to start training ASAP. Yikes!
Happy Mother's Day~and still looking forward to meeting you soon :)
