Purple carrots are fun!

We had some a few times in our CSA box and they were "spicier" than normal carrots. Not as sweet with a little bit of a "sharpness." And, yes, I'm sure we weren't eating purple radishes - they weren't that strong! Just a hint. I'm sure that where they are grown (soil type, nutrients, etc.) makes a difference in how they taste. They weren't bad just different. Don't bite into them expecting the same taste as orange carrots. :-)

I'm sure Maple Valley Offgrid Farm carrots are tasty! Lucky diners at Latitudes... ;-)
