little and big green bean people!

Don't take our silence from blogging it seemsfor anything other than
shall I say "green beans or zucchini"!

How about you? What have you been canning? We have made about 30 pints of zucchini jam and more... See the right hand side bar below!

I've been busy canning this week too. :-)So far...27 pints blueberry jam, 7 pints raspberry jam, 11 pints pickled beets, 5 quarts of sauerkraut and a bunch of beet greens blanched and ready for the freezer. :-) Also froze 3-4 cup containers of blueberries and 2 quarts of green peas. :-) Are we having fun yet?

Zuchini - I think these are what we in England call courgettes, (green veg, like small marrows) yes? How on earth do you make jam from them?

so far I have canned about 40 Qts. of greenbeans, 12 of squash, 34 pts. of dill pickles, 9 of potatoes, will do more of them, and over 100 jars of vegetable soup... lost count..LOL.. strawberry jam, and will fix blueberry jam,and blackberry, too. apple butter later.. need to can just tomatoes , I am about canned out...
