Canning and more canning...

The concord grapes on our farm are ready early! Today we are harvesting and canning our own grape juice, later this winter to be opened and sweetened with honey or our maple syrup. Yesterday we butchered 37 chickens and today we are pressure canning giblet stock with carrots and herbs from the garden! We try to use every part of the animal here...

Way to go, Abagayle:) I'm always inspired by all that you can - maybe someday I will do just as much

As for today, we are canning tomatoes and salsa...

Hope to see you soon - maybe once our farm lives slow down a little (does it ever?!?)!
