Reminds me of when I was a child and my granfather(Pa) would prepare a deer and ready it for his smokehouse.(warm fuzzy...)

Yes, he would be proud. I use to work in a butcher shop cleaning up and sterilizing everything after everyone went home....the smell was so bad for me,(bleach and raw meat), I quit after only a few months.

Great photo.

Hi Ang. You left a comment on my blog asking if it were ok to use the Santa pic, ues of course go ahead, I found it on the net anyway. What is an FB though? I've never heard of that? Is it an American term?. I find your lifestyle fascinating.

I've always been drawn to the Amish way of life. There was a TV series on British recently which featured 4 Amish teenagers who had come over to the UK to spend some time with various people around the country. They were so polite, friendly, outward going and hard working. In total contrast to many of the sullen youngsters over here. All four of them had practical skills too, be it carpentry dressmaking or cooking. They were very impressive. I live their simple back to the land lifestyle, where they eschew all modern conveniences. Although I find their too dogmatic interpretation of the bible of putting.

Please keep in touch, I am following your blog with much interest.
