Thank you so much for this program - it was very inspiring!! My family and I live in the mitten, as well, and we are teetering on the "backyard farming, but wanting to do more, but not sure how to do it" edge right now. I'm going to try to save up enough money for my husband and I to stay at your cottage - your family and way of life would be a huge inspiration to us. It is so hard to "stay the course", even with just hobby farming, when there are soooo many distractions in this world. We have 2 young boys, and already I see how they are so attached to "screen time". I truly feel like we should be doing something more in the farming direction, that it would be better spiritually, mentally and physically for my family, but where to start? Thank you for being such a positive force of encouragement- not only for living off the land, but, most importantly, for living off the faith of the Lord!! Sorry to ramble on... I wish your family the best :)
I was able to listen to your broadcast last night and enjoyed every minute of it. I read your blog every day to see what is happening and have known of some of your difficulties this year, but not the extent of your trials. I will certainly keep your family in prayer for total healing. I apprecite your sharing with us and loved the radio show as it gave an even deeper understanding of your faith journey. God Bless.
