Here is a link to the Anderson Daily Show "trailer" for tomorrow

***The show airs on CBS and will feature our Maple Valley off-grid Farm! Check out the link to the show here.***

The Anderson group was here for 2 1/2 days filming on the farm and then we went to visit Anderson Cooper in New York City!

We had a wonderful time as you can see. Mr. Cooper is the most down to earth and friendly guy! He made us feel so comfortable as well as his entire staff... They treated us like royalty! These country mice had a memorable experience in the Big Apple!

Thank you to everyone at the Anderson Daily Show for this wonderful experience for our family!

To God alone be the glory! "He is still driving this thing"...

I'm so excited to see this! I'm not going to be home at the time it airs in my area, so I'm really hoping I'll be able to see it online after.

Oh my goodness! Just got the news from my niece, Parisienne Farmgirl's blog, and watched your piece on AC. What an awesome testimony to the on-grid world. Both families were lovely and articulate. I'm totally convicted.
God bless you all.

Julee, summed it up so well, not sure I can add much more.

Learned about you and your lovely family from Parisienne Farmgirl when they stayed with you on your off-grid farm. So of course, I had to check out Anderson Cooper's show to catch your segment!

Thanks for all the inspiration...right now my husband and our 3 children (7, 4, 1) are contemplating moving from subdivision life to hobby farm. Perhaps off-grid living will also be in our future!

Congrats!

Valerie

P.S. My heart just melted when the Nunez family's little guy talked about how much he loved animals and how it was basically a no-brainer for him to spend his time care-taking outside instead of on video games. AMEN!

Sorry, my computer is acting funny.

It was fun to watch. It must have been interesting having the other family over. What a great way to witness for God. I loved how none of your girls knew the picture of that family -Kar something. Our kids were like " hmm, we don't know who they are either!". Homeschooling and staying in touch with each other is helping us here. Our dream is to be off grid. We love reading about the things you are all up to. It encourages us in our day.

That was so sad to see that family all caught up in technology that they never talked to each other. Only 30 minutes A DAY of family time. A DAY! So sad. I am so glad my kids are grown now but my grandkids are into all that. Well, not so much the phones, thank the Lord. But games and computer. And the boy was having so much fun with all the animals and the farm. He would probably move there. I am so glad y'all are there to show people the other side of all this and that life can be fun off grid. The key is keeping busy with worth while things. Good job, y'all!

I am SO bummed! Yesterday I asked my 13yo to DVR the show for today. She ended up recording YESTERDAY'S episode instead. By the time we realized this it was 4:30 pm and the show was half over - your part was done. Aarrgghh!! I was hoping the network would have a video of the episode, but no. If you end up having a link or video to share, please post it!

I saw you on TV today!! What fun that was!! That was a really neat little story. I didn't think mom and the daughter were going to make it!! lol. The son was thrilled to help with the animals and I think Dad liked parts of it...very nice segment! You all looked so cute! What a great looking family you all are!! The little one is so so so cute in his little hat!!!! Hope you get more people staying from the show. Bet you do!!! ....debbie

Glad I got to see the show. Very nice job. That must have been strange having new people come see what the simple life is like. The mom and daughter did not seem like it was that great. But, the dad and son seem to enjoy the animals and the idea of the whole thing.

Beautiful family you have.
