Babies don't keep...

These two little ham bones at the breakfast table...
Yes we have cake for breakfast...
Ask any one of the older children if they are happy that Dad and Mom had these 2 blessings and they would say a resounding, "YES"...  The oldest was 16 when baby girl was born!

Life is not easy...  Even with Jesus life is not always easy...
As tough as life is with financial burdens, relationship problems, marriage woes, busy times, I am so glad that we were blessed with more babies after we undid what God had given us...  You know, there is never the perfect time to have a baby...  If we waited for that perfect day, it would never happen... To many people wait for  that day...

These precious 2 babies were born after we had a vasectomy reversal.  We have had 5 pregnancies after our reversal and 2 babies that were born to us.  I would do it all again, even go through the losses as hard as they were to see these 2 precious faces every morning...

We got a lot of flack about having a vasectomy reversal - even from "good christian" people-  When we miscarried, they wouldn't acknowledge the loss as they never approved of the reversal.  Sad for them truly...

"The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips

"Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They will not be ashamed when they speak with their enemies in the gate. (Psalm 127:3-5)

Thank you Jesus for our 6 blessings - our rewards from You!

I believe the only time the Bible mentions a reward from the Lord Himself given to us on earth is by the fruit of our womb.

This is precious, and oh, so true. We didn't have a reversal, but our last two were born many years after our firstborn. There are 19 years between our oldest and our youngest. As difficult as some of these years have been, i wouldn't trade them for all the tea in China.

This was encouraging today and a great reminder. We are expecting our third child and this pregnancy has made us put an adoption on-hold (again). We were surprised at first when we found out we are pregnant (still nursing and have a 15 month old and I'm 35 yrs old)! But God is sovereign so we trust in him and roll with it. . .

Awesome post. We had a vasectomy after our third. Doctors said we had a high risk of having another child with Sotos Syndrome. And being in my 20's, I really didn't want to have more. Now looking back that was a mistake because regardless of the disabilities, children are a blessing.

However, God uses our mistakes and our ignorance for his glory. We are now in the process of adopting children number 8-9. Yes we have adopted internationally four times and now two through the foster system.

So even though life can be hard...children are a blessing...period.

Thanks for this beautiful post. We had our reversal 18 months ago now... with no results so far (sigh)... however there is hope & we are trusting the Lord. I know when you first posted the video & it mentioned you had had your reversal how encouraged I felt. And yes, people think we are crazy ( the ones who know about the reversal) & I think they are smiling because it hasn't worked so far ( sigh). We just need to keep on trusting. Children are truly a blessing.
Love to you
Renata:)
