We have already started our homeschool year...so we are busy with that *fun* ;). We are also working together as a family to get all the wood we have split and stacked for the upcoming winter. I suppose that wouldn't be called "fun" exactly...but it's time with my family...working hard, team work, and doing something productive so it makes me happy! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! :o)

84 and sunny - After church, we'll be on the water! Either Big Platte boating or the river...

I don't want to think about winter...yet.

While you were off grid, how did you water your stock during the winter months so that their water didn't freeze? That is our biggest problem each winter, trying to figure out how to keep the stock with water instead of ice.

We still farm off grid. we have not dealt with frozen waters as we place them strategically in the barn and the heat of the animals keep the waters thawed all winter long. in the warmer months water is outside for the animals. first winter here the humans water froze ;) ask me how I know
