The colors of Maple Valley Farm

As beautiful as Colorado was, it was void of vibrant color!
as soon as we walked in the doors of Maple Valley Farm
my eyes and mouth watered with an explosion to feast the eyes
 of all of the colors
 this farm and home produces

 a feast for sure

I realized how much I really love primary colors in my decorating style
and textures, oh so many different textures!

The west was very neutral in color and I missed these BURSTS!

home sweet
 home!
I do not mind if all of these choices are not the "latest style"...
They are simply HomemakerAng's style :)

post a link in the comment section of some of your personal favorite decorating styles, will you?  I would love to see

Summer's coming to an end... But first

just a few more pictures of our visit to Rocky Mountain National Park - Estes Park, Colorado

Can it be?  I have know this man 24 years already...
sisters...  13 year difference
The Gentle Giant -father of 6- with "the babies"
I am not kidding you that all of these wild elk, mule deer and more were so close to us... kinda scary actually, especially when a large bull elk started running up a mountain that Buddy and I had just climbed down!  We ran our hearts out...
brothers-pals - 10 years apart!
this picture sums up a lot of "her"...  we love this sweetie so much and she LOVES life with all of her energy and MORE!  Trust us on this :)
Rocky Mountain Nature
the hiking went well... had to carry the little one sometimes but that was ok.  She was scared of mountain lions and "the big bad wolf" (her words)...
this fella was 20 ft from a lady hanging her clothes on the line just out of the park!  no kidding...
we love our Ruthie - she has grown up!  For many of you that have been here for a long time and from our other "HomemakerAng" blog, Ruthie still has her "Ruthie Rants" :)
a fireplace from a very old cabin still left in the National Park

I hope this little bugger doesn't destroy the entire National Park... seriously!
We had an unforgettable time...  I think you can tell by the photos.  REMEMBER:  These beautiful pictures still do not do this place justice!

NEXT YEAR:  Team Kuncaitis will be camping out in the park under the stars!  MARK 'EM

Our home school is back in session...

Our family has been enjoying time between work and farming in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska...
This home schooling field trip has been so amazing and God is sooo good!

We have been within 10 ft., YES - read that again- of Elk and Mule Deer right in the wild...  The children are thrilled and we are as well...

crazy beautiful...

Being back home is good too!

Do you have any last minute plans before school starts?
Do share!

No words

Dream Lake, Estes Park Colorado

Some of God's miraculous creation...  I am telling you that this picture, as beautiful as it is, still does not do justice to this area of the USA...

But imagine my surprise when I saw this...

The children have been having fun this summer using many art mediums...

Face painting turned into this!  The wig is handmade by our 16 year old daughter - it is 100% Belgian horse hair - We keep the Belgian's hair after every trim.  Pretty creative don't you think?

Little brother enjoyed being "chief" for a day.  I love seeing what the children can come up with when left to create on their own!

After this creation, I allowed our youngest to give me a makeover as well :)

She was thrilled that I "trusted" her expertise...

What memory are you making this summer with your kitty cats?

Born-aGlen...

just another day at Maple Valley Farm...

Life makes love work hard… too hard at times...

But at the farm, we get the full perspective, if only while here… easy love

Thank you...

my friend Annette created this beautiful Leelanau bouquet from her garden...

I placed it on the Hoosier cabinet she gave me as well that I put in our kitchen of

born-a-Glen...
